This post is coming in quite late at night.. so I'm not expecting much out of it.. not that I'm a bulb with glowing ideas through the day..but still( see thats wat you get for having ignored the first line disclaimer n readin further! You're still reading???)
Ahem.. so I just read up a coupla decent posts on some blogs n realised that 'creativity' is something I truly miss in my life :( n ironically seem to be addicted to! First n foremost yea.. I'm referring to general creativity in stuff...but more specifically the writing kind! The explanation for the above would be that.. yep I don't do anything creative anymore n hence wistfully long for the times when writing up a good poem or article was such an easy n fulfilling task! The addicted part is that I find myself grinning like an idiot when I read up a simple, factual or spoof(btr!;)) post, watch a humour filled witty talk on a TV show, or lazily scan an article which is yea.. a gr8 thing if only if I wouldn't end up feeling kinda jealous, or um.. a little insecure about my own creativity at the end...which I agree is not much..& is probably fading away like some crazy morning dream..but nevertheless is.
So here I am ranting abt creativity n stuff...shows how lively my life is :s Nevertheless this post too like many of mine.. (I guess I'm too obsessed with the fairy tale 'happily ever after' stuff) is gonna have a positive ending. I'm gonna make it a point to read up stuff & blog about my thoughts on them. Cos here's what I think it is : Reading up or being more aware implies info, implying criticism( i'm cynical.. can't help it:P)implying opinion, implying chance to spice up stuff - yep voila! 'Creativity' :D:p
Wednesday: 1800 hrs I check my mail & find out that I've been shortlisted for the Vestas Innovation Challenge on 'Harnessing energy from the wind' at Kurukshetra & that I had to send the final presentation that very night!
What would a perfectionist do? Simply mail the already completed, flawless, zipped version from his laptop.
What would an amateur like me do?... FREAK?!? :p
Lol...N this was just 'one' of the nicest things that happened last week. I found my topic of interest in a downtown article on kurukshetra - da technical fest in anna university. So i thought over a coupla things, had lotsa wacko ideas, spoke arnd & finally arrived at the most ingenious device - that would work fine... probably not even in virtuality..def not in reality!!
Unfortunately tis realization dawned on me on the 8th of January & 10th was da last date to submit da initial abstract.. so i started working on a more practicable sane idea on 9th.. n somehow wid some expert help from my sis.. we submitted just b4 12 am on jan 10th!:P N guess wat da next day I get a mail sayin that the due-date was posptponed for a coupla days more! Urrgggghh!:P
Anyhow I really wasn't expecting nethin outta it.. but I certainly kept checking my mail for any intimation...n none came so well I took it off my mind atleast.. n ten came da wednesday mail! I was happy.. but more so shocked cos I hadn't started on my presentation!! I requested for some more time.. n won myself a few more hours than the deadline.
I worked on it for a coupla hours on wednesday.. n finished up in college on thursday morn n mailed it from coll. Not that I make great presentations but this was one of those 'not-so-gud' ones.. I wasn't happy..but didn't have too much choice did I?
The final D Day was perfect though :) I sped on my scooty, picked up a coupla xerox copies of my paper that I was supposed to submit... n on the way I remembered a coupla pointers so added tat to da presentation wen I reached anna university!! ( wat was I thinking?? :O) The presentation however went off well... the questioning part was k too... but da best was yet to come..
I WON!! A whole month & a half internship at Vestas - no1 in modern energy! :D
It took a lot to sink in.. cos maybe I didn't deserve it for the effort I put in, but maybe I did for the idea :)
N i realised that paper presentations were, after all, not only for the big brains out tere eh?? :) :P
Of love that is pure & sweet
Of love that betters my dreams
And is beautifully magical...
Of passion that is tender & unfading
Of that which has no fear of being lost
Of unsaid but promised
Love for-ever.
Of love where there's nothing to lose
Of love that is simple & straight from the heart
Of love that does not blind me
But helps me see... n feel better about
Every little thing around me.
Of love without condition
Or compromise or compulsion
Of love without jealousy
Or worry of being wrong
Of love that feels right
Of love that is meant to be...:)

Alex the Lion :The wild? Are you nuts? That is the worst idea I have ever heard!
Melman the Giraffe: It's unsanitary!
Marty the Zebra: The penguins are going, so why can't I?
Alex the Lion: Because the penguins are psychotic!
Alex the Lion: What does Connecticut have to offer us?
Melman the Giraffe: Lyme disease.
Alex the Lion: Thank you, Melman.
Skipper the Penguin : Well, boys, our monochromatic friend's in danger. Looks like we have a job to do.
[directing Private]
Skipper the Penguin: Captain's Log: Embarking into hostile environment. Kowalski! We'll need to win the hearts and the minds of the natives. Rico! We'll need special tactical equipment. We're gonna face extreme peril. Private probably won't survive.
[Private's crayon tip breaks off and he looks up in shock]
Penguin 1: "We have engine trouble, Captain."
Penguin 2: "How do you know?"
Penguin 1: The left engine is no longer on fire....and the right is no longer there!"
Skipper the penguin :I've got good news and bad news.
The good news is, we will be landing immediately.
The bad news is,
we are crush landing!
When it comes to air travel, we know you have no choice what so ever.
But thanks again for choosing air penguin.
Skipper the Penguin :Operation tourist trap is in go.
Oh, I like that one.
That's a good one.
That works on many levels sir.
Skipper the Penguin :You guys are a bunch of suck ups.
That too sir.
Absolutely.
Skipper the Penguin :Hide.
Stations.
Stage one. Go.
Oh no. What've I done.
Come on, take the bait.
Skipper the Penguin : Stage two. Go, go, go.
Tourist guide : I'll give him the kiss of life.
Skipper the Penguin : Rico!
( Don't wanna delve into dis more..even doh it's actually required here..but you gotta see tis part.. it's some plan! :) )
Higher Mammal : The plane won't be fixed until the suits meet our demands.
Now, about maternity leave.
Marty the Zebra :Maternity leave? You're males. Look, we need a plane for rescue mission.
Skipper the penguin : Well, there is nothing I can do until we bust up this union.
Gloria the Hippo : I'm gonna get the busty not bully you if you don't get this plane going.
Skipper the penguin :Can't you see these commies have my hands tied here?
No maternity leave.
Higher Mammal : Maybe a certain someone wouldn't want these blowing around on the savannah.
Skipper the penguin : Alright, you get your maternity leave.
Higher Mammal : Finally.

I'm just gonna relive a whole gr8 experience I had this summer at Singapore..um.. I'm in college (ahem;)).. so summer hols here refer to hols in June! :P I've no idea where to start n where to finish...n god knows how much I've forgotten in between but nevertheless it seems totally worth remembering whatever I did!
First n foremost it kinda felt all grown-up to be traveling alone..ok.. this isn't exactly the first time I'm traveling alone.. still I was all excited..n a teeny bit nervous about it!! :P :)N i was gonna see my sis - one of the bestest parts of the trip!!:D
Hmmm.. so if I'd have to recollect some really cool things I did..it would include having some of the gr8est, most different kinda food I've never had b4:P ( I so sound like a foodie I know!:P), tiring out myself totally at trying 'Roller-blading' - believe me it was one cranky, slippery, learning rolling-friction-is-much-less-than sliding-friction experience:P..tat I soo much enjoyed!!...cycling on geared bikes all along this most beautiful place along the sea...wid moist cool breeze all around..tat if I'd probably closed my eyes it wud've been like flying!! :)
Ofcourse I'm a girl n I do like shopping :P.. but not the crazy types.. we did see quite some shopping malls..but it was more of window shopping only!:P I can't believe I hardly got lost in those massive malls..cos there were god-damn maps everywhere.. right from numbered shops to information desks to help-comp's available almost everywhere!
My parents joined me n sis later.. after which we had some really nice 'family-fun'!!:D.. I went on this largest giant wheel in Asia called 'Flyer'...n it was some experience.. well I'd lie if I say I really enjoyed it n all..cos it was darned slow...but I kinda really liked watching the toy-like cars n ships n awesomely lit highways from a massive height of about 150 m?!! woah..got some gr8 pics tere!:)
Sentosa!! I'd be a fool to miss out on it after having spent a whopping 23 days at Singapore!:P.. Went to sentosa by the mono-rail n came bak by cable car...had a nice time..kinda left me feeling 'Did this Sentosa island have to be so close to Singapore?' cos the trip was hardly for 10 minutes:P! lol.. neway I went on this awesome gravity ride called 'Luge' at Sentosa .. it was a totally different n fun kinda experience! I even had this air-brush tattoo stamped on my fist tat said 'LUGE'.. was kinda proud of it actually..I guess I was showing it off to anybody who'd bother to see! :P Saw a heart-touching performance by some young pink dolphins at Sentosa too.. there were so awesome n lovable n I just so adored n enjoyed watching them!
Oh.. n the night safari!! It was like I was seeing it for the first time.. the same excitement...the same thrills n amazement! For all the time I spent there I'm so sure I was teleported into dark jungles with the creatures of the night prowling near-by..hehe..! SOO SOO gr8 an experience I'm gonna remember for a long time...:)
On the whole...I enjoyed every little moment of my holidays, thanks to my really really awesome sis n to roking parents who were so much part of the reason I had soo much fun.. n who ofcourse sponsored my trip n all my lil whim n fanciful purchases!:P
I'm sure I'm gonna remember this gr8 gr8 holiday life-long..:) :)
