Shaking it up!! - review of my W580i!

Okk..Here goes my review of my diwali gift! The latest walkman phone from sony ericsson - w580i...ye ye... Sony will be releasing abt 6 more new gadgets including w910i (w580i+ supplemented 'sense-me' features) & a couple of other new-to-be released phones of sony will not be out until later this yr or early nxt yr.

Appearance- This slider's sleek & hot looking, with both the sony ericsson & the walkman 'w' nicely branded on the back of the phone.I got the walkman orange..but the urban grey's also nice luking... The display screen's large but it attracts finger prints.. It's got a totally uncomfortable D-pad with the play/stop/camera buttons on it. But the other most commonly used select & clear buttons nxt to it are rounded & very comfy to use. The lower slide has a well lit number pad..with alright keys. Ofcourse if you're used to the nokia phones then ur gonna find messaging a bit irritating in the beginning but you'll get used to it:)

Yep. It's a 'shake it' phone..which means you can just press the walkman button n give it a shake to shuffle ur songs.. though it sounds kinda dumb to do..it's a fun feature! The sound quality is obviously awesome ( hello...it's a walkman phone!!?) n the weirdo ear phones give u the total indulgin experience. It's also got this 'track id' which allows u to look up all info abt a song or album includin artwork n music director etc..I tried it but it didn't work..but I guess u'll need gprs/net for tat..
Another special feature in tis phone's the fitness master. It's basically a pedometer..it gives u an account of ur daily distance,steps, calories u've lost etc.. n u can callibrate it really accurately by entering your height weight etc.. n also the settings in da phone!? Awesome actually..cos it even awards u medals for performance :) right now I'm a wanderer n weight watcher:P

For the other features breifly it has a music, photo, video dj that you can use to have some fun! Like the photo dj's got some features for cartoonin the pic u took:) n the music dj allows u to compose stuff with some instruments...
The games r fine..ye..it has the Sims2 game n a gud tetris version..but you can download em java applics...
The radio's fine n the 2GB card that comes wid the package (12k) roks...

The only minus I cud complain abt is the camera. The 2mp camera works nicely if there's enuf light but is totally worthless in the dark.. n it doesn't even have zoom in the still mode. So if ur lukin for a good camera phone this is certainly not wat ur lukin at...

On the whole the phone's an experience by itself!!:D.I did look up a few other N series n K790I n Razr2 before I decided on tis phone..n I stay by my decision cos it's one helluva youth phone!:)
