Just when things were getting a bit cold around here...some warm n remembrable thoughts filled my mind n soul! haha..cutting out the high-funda stuff..twas truly memorable to remember the 90's...thanks to tagging I guess.
Ok to begin with...
I dont remember much of the baby years..but I certainly remember the day my dad took me n my sis out to a browsing centre( obvio we didn't have net at home) to create an email-id on rediffmail..(now I know the dot.com boom happened around 92-93?)..every part of that revelation was magical :)
Cell phones were as much a rarity as cud be..so it was the age of the pagers too! We had to call on a no:, give say..my dad's no: & the message, cross-chk..n I dnt remember wat else?! haha..our lives r quite simple n techy now..uh..
Barbies n cuddly toys n Famous Five n Hardy Boys n St.Claires'... n lovely video games..with cassetes like Mario, Mougli, Tom n Jerry n all..yep..not PS or XBOX..
It was also the time of the VCR with video cassets..I was a crazy Rajini fan bak ten..doubt if I missed nething..right from muthu to padyappa..:)
Dexter's lab, powerpuff girls, Captain Planet,G.I.Joe ofcourse:)..dnt remember much..but the title music was gud & so was the mirror-masked villian..lol! I used to watch a lot of soapy hindi serials too...lots of time I guess!
Skool was always soo much fun! 'JUNGLE JIMS' & swings - only God knows how many times I've fallen off..gr8 van trips, scary ghost stories, totally relishing every last morsel of hot corn with the chilli powder & ice-lollies & ice-creams (real kutti ones) tat sold for Re1 totally fun PT periods with zig-zag, country :D, lots of athletics, n the best part that there was always sooo much of energy n time to play play n play!!I guess we also did MS DOS in comp class - the black screen with the turtle on it.. & giving it instructions to perform simple tasks..hehe..
In the 90's b'lore it was soo much fun to come outside the house just near the gate with my sis..I guess I wasn't tall enuf to unlock it & my sis was a rare goody-goody thing:)..so we used to wait tere & just breathe out with our mouths open & be so amazed by the fog tat we cud c..as far as I can remember that excitement was the same from the first to the last time..lil things made our lives so special as kids..
Come to think of it I had soo many friends - guys n girls - n tere wasn't an sorta awkward feeling at all..no even crushes n all I guess...I mean I really did think a couple of guys were really popular n gud-lukin :D..but well...it's hell now! Can't even a get to talk a peaceful 5 min with a guy without bein teased! sigh..it's so stupidly western now...

oh! it was this 'programming language' called LOGO... with all the FD100 and RT90!!! such complexities... im sure they programmed Vista on a LOGO framework!!!
ye..it was fun, less like a program & more like a game!! lol..vista on LOGO..very possible.. i mean what with the 3D graphics & stuff rite?!
you mean LOGO on Vista... thats scary enough... but Vista on LOGO- microsoft can well close down and start an aquarium!!!:-)

you know, I remember the first day we went to a browsing centre too! I remember we were sitting on the 2nd floor or summat in koramangala n the guy there was like you can create a mail id and chat with someone you don't know at all online - n I was like.. yeah right! hehe...

wow.. yeah! I totally remember programmin in MSDOS - but that was more in SHGHS. PSBB la it was already 2000 eh?? hehe..
you know.. I nevah should have been such a 'goody-goody' as you term me .. hehe...when you write stuff like 'ice-lolies' n all it sounds so naughty and mischivieous and young!!!
n yeah! the fogggg .. omg! I can begin to see traces of that here as well recently - itz been crazy cold for like 3 days in a row - it rains like mad though.. not the lovely fog..hehe.. n sry for not openin the gates :P - but if amu says so again, I guess I'll still do it!!!
hmmmm...that is really cool!! I've never really had any guy friends - I mean... till my 7th I was in a girls school and when I came to 8th there was already the girl-guy thing going on. But yeah.. itz very stupid - and not western at all - itz like a Trishanku - stuck in between! Hopefully you can get over it after your 1st year when you start organizing stuff at the college level! I find that working together on something with a common purpose helps you make friends very easily -irrespective of the gender and obviously with people who have the right attitude :) But knw what, enjoy the teasing as well.. it won't last long either and you'll be all nostalgic about that soon enuf .. hehe :P
haha...true inspi n all are the big words derived from the last dedication :P but yeah.. we're cool! :) you rok...what you write is who you are - and thatz really something! I really miss having someone like u here and these blogs help .. hehe..
